Arizona Women's Golf Association

NEW INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS NOW AVAILABLE

Are you interested in belonging to the AWGA but don’t have the time to join a weekly women’s club? The AWGA now has a membership for women who love to golf but can’t commit to the rules of membership for those with a handicap who play in AWGA tournaments. Read on to find out how you can join as an Individual.

At the AWGA we’re always working to find ways to be a more inclusive organization for women golfers. Under the leadership of Norma Scuri, Membership Committee Chair,
we have now added a new membership type for those who are strictly recreational golfers – one that doesn’t include a Handicap Index. We’ve named it the “Individual Membership.” Anyone who plays golf but does not belong to an organized club and who isn’t concerned with having a handicap can now join the AWGA. The Individual Membership does not allow for playing in AWGA tournaments but most of the other benefits remain the same. The annual membership fee is $20, which includes receiving our newsletters, newsblasts, a Directory, USGA publications at AWGA cost plus shipping, partner discounts, and the opportunity to attend AWGA educational seminars. Individual members also receive the intangible benefits that come from a state association, such as USGA course and slope rating services at Arizona golf courses.

If you or anyone you know would like to belong to the AWGA but don’t have the time or maybe the desire to join a ladies club, this membership is for you. Joining is quick and easy.

1. Complete the form on our website for an Individual Membership
2. Print the invoice
3. Send in the invoice with your membership fee

When we receive the completed invoice and annual dues, new members will receive a Welcome Packet describing their AWGA benefits and including an AWGA decal, a Directory, most recent newsletters, and a Choice Hotels Savings card. It’s just another way the AWGA is becoming a more progressive association reaching out to women golfers of all interest levels.
