Norma Scuri Appointed to the AWGA Executive Board

As a member of the Board of Directors, Norma Scuri is making outstanding contributions to the progress of the AWGA. Her enthusiastic and skilled leadership of the Membership Committee has brought forth many initiatives and changes that are moving the AWGA forward. Norma’s attention to helping golf professionals as well as women golfers all over the state understand the value of the AWGA to promote women’s golf is already showing results. Her Membership Committee is the catalyst behind many new member benefits that are just beginning to emerge.

Norma has been an active and involved member of the Board of Directors since June 2004. Recently appointed to fill a vacancy on the Executive Board, Norma will now take a more active role in the management decision-making process for the Association. Her work with women’s clubs across the state as well as with new AWGA member courses will add a fresh dimension to the leadership of the AWGA.

Norma is a retired telecommunications professional who specialized in mergers and acquisitions. A member of Antelope Hills WGA, Norma enjoys playing golf in her group and with her husband. Her love of golf along with her knowledge of the AWGA and her exceptional people skills are a combination that are sure to benefit the growth and direction of the AWGA. The Board congratulates Norma on her appointment and looks forward to a term of valuable contributions in guiding the AWGA toward future goals.
