Arizona Women's Golf Association

An Affiliate Club is a golf course that wishes to maintain a USGA Course and Slope Rating for play by women, but does not provide its facilities for a regular AWGA club.

For a fee of $100 per year, the golf course receives:

  • Listing in AWGA Directory of Member Clubs
  • Course rating services - 18-hole and 9-hole USGA course slope and ratings calculated by rating teams certified by the USGA, including accurate course measurement using state of the art lasering equipment and brass measurement markers for clubs that wish to install them.
  • Analysis of scorecards to determine proper hole-by-hole handicap stroke allocations.
  • USGA publications at AWGA cost, plus postage. See inside cover of the AWGA Directory for a list of available publications.
  • Monthly AWGA newsletters.
  • Advice and assistance in setting up and administering your women's golf club, including by-laws and by-laws revisions.
  • Through your AWGA membership fees, you will sponsor the Arizona team for the Junior Girls America's Cup competition; provide financial assistance to junior girls eligible to compete in state, regional, and national tournaments; ad support junior programs throughout Arizona through donations to their general fund. In addition, the AWGA maintains an active Junior Golf Committee that promotes and funds girls junior programs specifically.
  • A portion of you AWGA membership fees also help support other selected golf related organizations with donations. Recent donations include The Heather Farr Trophy Matches, the USGA Public Links Championship, The Arizona Silverbelle Championship, The Arizona State Women's Golf Team and The Arizona Golf Foundations.
  • USGA Rules Seminars, upon request
  • Advice and interpretations on the USGA Rules of Golf
  • Information on tournament procedures and administration
